Weaving
Weaving is where artificial hair extensions are connected to the natural hairs on the sides of the head, when a patch of baldness arises on the scalp. It is often known as weave ties. They are connected in such a way that regular tugs and pulls won’t loosen the extensions.
Ghana Weave / Braids / Braiding
I also specialise in Ghana weaving, also known as CornRows / Corn Rows, banana braids or invisible hair braids. This weaving style secures the hair against the weather and helps the hair grow naturally.
Braids, or plaits, are a hairstyle formed by interlacing three or more strands of hair. Hair by Blessing specialises in the care and styling of afro-textured hair, but we also provide expert hair styling services for all types of hair.

Specialist in Braids & Weaving
The Ghana weave, also known as Ghana braids, cornrows or feed-in braids, is a popular African braiding style that involves weaving extensions or natural hair close to the scalp.
It involves taking a small section of natural hair at the starting point of the part, then braiding the natural hair with the extension hair. We either use the feed-in method, gradually adding small amounts of extension hair as you go, or pre-attach the extension hair to your natural hair before starting the braid.
Braids / Weave Maintenance
You can refresh the style by redoing the edges as they loosen over time, or wrap your hair with a silk or satin scarf at night to maintain the style.
Remember that the process might take some time. Patience is the key to achieving a neat and professional-looking Ghana weave. If you’re unsure about the process, we are always available for questions or advice!
